Anything but confident.
I provided that first treatment to her whilst she was receiving chemotherapy. Of course, I had no idea what that involved so I simply worked gently with her. As I look back, I am so grateful that we didn’t have a negative outcome. I think of all the questions that I should’ve asked her before providing that treatment and how to further protect both of us. As it turned out, I saw her regularly over the following months and she recovered her health. She was a self-confessed workaholic and I knew she was keen to return to her normal life. As she continued to heal, regaining her strength and returned to work – I never did hear from her again.
